Individual Health Insurance
Simply put, health insurance is protection against medical costs. A health insurance policy is a contract between an insurer and an individual or group, in which the insurer agrees to provide specified health insurance at an agreed-upon price (the premium).
Health Insurance is similar to your Auto Insurance, there is a set Deductible for most services while some basic services are covered with a single Co-Pay depending on your plan benefits. There is a Max Out of Pocket Limit on all plans that is the combination of your Deductible and any Co-Insurance, once that is reached you are then covered at 100% for the rest of the Calendar year. The cost and range of protection provided by your health insurance will depend on your insurance provider and the particular policy you purchase. If your employer does not offer coverage or it is too expensive (more then 9.5% of your income) then you can decide to purchase Health Insurance on the Individual Market which is what I specialize in and can assist you through the whole process. The rates are the same whether you use me or not, so take my knowledge and expertise and put it to use to get yourself into the best most cost effective plan.
